i. What struggles do you think many immigrants face?  What challenges would you face if you immigrated to a different country?

ii. Has anyone ever traveled abroad?  What was different/difficult during your stay?

d. How does this video (slide 8) appeal to logos/pathos/ethos?  What evidence can you cite to support your evidence?

B. Day 2

a. How does immigration affect you as 18 year olds about to embark on the next step in life?

b. What social class do you think might advocate for illegal immigrant deportation most?  Why?

c. How does the author use anecdotes to persuade the audience?  Is he appealing to logos/pathos/ethos?  

d. What evidence from this article is most compelling?

e. What does the writing of this article suggest about its purpose?  (Persuade/Inform)

C. Day 3

a. Why is it important to be informed citizens about laws/reform?

b. How can you evaluate which evidence supports your claim best?

c. How do you plan to persuade your audience in your essay?  How should you order your paragraphs?  Does it really matter?

d. What writing strategies have you learned that can elevate your writing for your final revision?
