Emergency Evacuation

Sitting on a plane mid-flight
My nostrils egregiously assaulted
by the passanger beside me
He opened a can of sardines
Fingers gluttonously dive in
Fish oils bathe his cuticles
Foul dank air pervades my immediate sphere
Delicate crackers mounted with fishy torsos
Devoured, faces scoured, noses pinched
A laugh escapes my mouth
I hop out of the emergency exit:
heading south.
